High Quality, Low Cost Spay & Neuter Surgery
Author: Sara Castillo | Business Manager
On June 20, Spay Neuter Vets will be closed as several of our team members travel to Guatemala for a special mission with the People & Pets Project. We’ll reopen and resume our regular services on Monday, June 23. We want to share the story behind this closure and why it means so much to us, and to the animals and families we serve, both locally and globally.
At Spay Neuter Vets, our mission has always been rooted in compassion, service, and community impact. This June, we’re honored to partner with People & Pets Project on a One Health mission trip to a rural village in Guatemala. During our time there, our team will provide free spay and neuter surgeries to dogs and cats whose families might otherwise not have access to veterinary care. And if this wasn’t enough, because this is a One Health initiative trip, the mission will also provide medical care to the pet’s families. We are so incredibly proud to be a part of this!
Our work in Guatemala is an extension of the values we live every day at home in Alpharetta. Just as we strive to make a difference for pets and families here, we’re proud to contribute our skills and compassion to communities in need abroad. This mission trip is about more than surgeries and medical care, it’s about building bridges, sharing knowledge, and making a lasting impact on animal AND human welfare.
We know our closure may be an inconvenience, and we appreciate your understanding as we take this opportunity to give back. Here’s what you need to know:
Clinic Closed: June 20
Reopening: Monday, June 23
How to Reach Us: While our physical clinic will be closed, we will still be monitoring calls, texts, and emails remotely. You can continue to book future appointments online, and we’ll be happy to assist you as best we can during this time.
We couldn’t do this work—at home or abroad—without the support of our clients, partners, and community. Your trust in us allows our team to extend care to animals and families who need it most. Thank you for your flexibility, your understanding, and your belief in our mission.
Check out People & Pets Project's website if you’d like to learn more about the absolutely incredible work they do.
We look forward to seeing you and your pets back at the clinic starting June 23. Until then, thank you for being part of the Spay Neuter Vets family and for helping us make a difference, near and far.
